IJlst
In IJlst, one of the Frisian eleven cities Fierljeppen has been practised for years. The nice location close to the old centre and next to the water hosts the W. Abma-skânsen. (skânsen = venues)
Every year in IJlst there is the match for the Fryslân Cup. For the Frisian jumpers a last test for the Dutch Championships.
IJlst is the home location for Rimmer Abma, one of the most renown and successful jumpers of Frisia.
